Great Service isn't just for retailers

Great service is everything these days, if you don't have it - make sure you have really cheap products. People are consisently saying the internet is killing retailers. I feel that if you don't give good service or train your staff on how to give good service then you deserve to go out of business.

Here is my example of an online company giving great service.

Last Thursday I downloaded an audiobook from Audible.com, the audiobook costs US$30 from the authors website, or US$5.59 from Audible. I purchased it as I had no credits left on my subscription. Throughout the audiobook it mentions following along with the workbook, Audible usually puts the associated files to be downloaded on the download page. Unfortunately I couldn't find it.

I emailed support explaining my 'blonde' situation, I got an email back saying it should be where it should be. I had another look and sent them a screenshot. Carlos from support sent me back a very heartfelt apology saying that it was overlooked, and he'll email me when the pdf workbook is available "here's an additional $10 credit for your inconvenience"!

That is the best example of incredible service that I've been apart of.

Thank you Audible, you have won a customer for life.

Me:

1) I will be a master at my current job, although there will be a change in ownership :) My current business that I also run is completely automated, no need for my input.

2) Today I've been making contact with people, calling leads, making appointments, confirming people to an event that I'm running, being very busy without too much income :(

3) I'm currently reading:

How To Develop Your Power of Concentration, Selling to VITO the Very Important Top Officer, and Fool Moon.

4) Influencer, Ben Bova's Orion Series. Everthing Brian Tracy.

5) My daughter coming to see me in January! (Yet to be born).

Depression

I've ran out of my tablets, I haven't been able to get to the doctor, my head is spinning, I have no motivation, I'm scared to pick up the phone to call clients (necessary for my job!). I need focus, I need to get to the doctor. God I feel like shit.

My depression feels like it shouldn't be there, I'm a happy person. I have my previous job to blame for my fucked up head. I'm so glad I'm finished there now.

I hate feeling this way, I know I can be successful, all I need to do is pick up the phone!

-----

I wrote the above before I went to the doctor's today, he said that he thinks I've got bipolar, I've got to go back tomorrow, then I see the psych on Thursday. I got my tablets, it's helped my dizziness, not my butterflies in my stomoch though, they make me feel very anxious.

I still haven't picked up the phone :(

Hopefully tomorrow will be more productive.

Being Familar

Being familiar is great if you stick to your sales message, if your message becomes garbled your meeting becomes a disaster!

It happened to me just then, I knew the owner of a real estate company, he knew I was there for a reason (to sell my product), we began talking and my message got mixed up and unprofessional. It became all about me and what I was selling, not all about him and what needs he has.

I feel like shit right now and need a coffee. My next appointment is at 11:30, it's only a fact-finding mission so hopefully it goes better then the last meeting.
